No-Show and Late Cancellation
Your appointment time is reserved for you and you alone. No shows or cancellations within 48 hours of your appointment time will be charged the full appointment fee. Similarly, if I have to cancel within 48 hours of your appointment time, your rescheduled appointment will be provided free of charge. We each get one "no questions asked" requested change of appointment within 48 hours of the appointment.
Location at Time of Service
With rare exception, the location of service is defined by where you physically are located at the time of our appointment. If you plan to submit for reimbursement from your insurance company, they may not count services provided when you are geographically located outside the state of Pennsylvania.
Can I have the Same Time Every Week?
Possibly. It depends on what my availability looks like and how many appointments are booked already. I see people usually at intervals of once every week, once every 2 weeks, or once a month with a short check-in mid-month.
Do you have a Sliding Scale?
I am not offering a sliding scale for individual counseling at this time. Shorter appointments are available. I also offer support groups each month on Sesh Therapy. If shorter appointments or groups don't work for you, you may wish to check Open Path Collective for reduced/lower-fee therapy availability.
Why do you Offer Low-Fee Supervision but not Sliding Scale Therapy?
There are several reason for my decision. First, for most of my working hours now, and for many years I worked with people who receive public assistance and have very low or no incomes. Second, low-fee supervision is an opportunity for me to give back to those professionals who supported me in obtaining independent clinical social worker status. Supporting newer graduates with appropriate clinical supervision allows the best values of social justice in professional social work to be carried forward. Finally, at the end of the day, I what makes me happy to do with my time, and what my time and skill are worth.
How do I Register for a Group or Supervision?
Contact me with the form above and you will be added to a waiting list. Please know this doesn't guarantee you a spot as they are limited. Once I have availability, I will reach out and we will have a conversation about you're looking for and see if either is a good fit for you and your needs.
What is the process for getting an ESA letter? How much do they cost?
For ESA letters, while I don't charge anything, I do ask people to make a meaningful contribution (whatever is meaningful to you, could be time, money, or something else) to an animal welfare organization of their choice.
To set up an evaluation, please request that below and you will be placed on a waiting list. Before our meeting, I'll send you a Release of Information (ROI) for your current provider to complete so we can all communicate. During the meeting, I'll ask you questions to gather the needed information for the evaluation and letter.
